Nivel is a Norwegian govtech startup helping cities regulate and understand micromobility (e.g. shared bikes and electric scooters). With our tools, cities exchange data with mobility operators and their fleets of shared vehicles. We put this data to work to control the public space, enabling cities to get the best out of escooters.

Nivel is funded by ambitious venture capital funds and are strengthening our team to enhance our tools further. We are proud to develop great solutions for humans.

We believe that you are great person, an excellent coder, but not necessarily a super human that can tick of all theses boxes:

• experience with multiple programming languages and software stacks.
• you are comfortable reading and writing modern PHP code.
• a fair understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, JavaScript (Vue) and CSS; being able to work with an entire feature, front-to-back, is a big plus.
• experience and/or interests in modern devops concepts like CI/CD
• technical and end-user awareness and a good business mindset
• curious about new technologies and you're excited to find ways to implement them in your work.
• experience with development of API standards, such as the MDS.
• Experience with AWS is a plus

Your next challenge

The Nivel team is currently small and fast moving and you will be able to contribute in setting a direction on where we are heading.

As our Lead Backend Developer, you'll be responsible for the server side code and APIs of our web applications. You'll be involved in the entire product development lifecycle including the design, development, deployment and maintenance of new and existing features.

You are confident in making sure our tools are stable and trustworthy as we are controlling the public ground. You will be optimizing our stack and are welcome to challenge it.

You will also be contributing to the foundation for good data analytics and machine learning.
