The Data Platform of Veikkaus is one of the biggest in Finland. What would it sound like to work as a Senior Cloud Engineer for Finland's largest e-commerce platform?

Veikkaus cloud infra team is growing to enhance, scale and speed up application development also beyond the borders of Finland since last year, a new lottery act came into force, which enabled Veikkaus to start an international B2B business as well. Would you also like to join forces and scale up their business to international markets?

About the role

Cloud infra team's main purpose is to keep data running on all platforms in a secure way. Veikkaus.fi is a high traffic e-commerce platform consisting of dozens of different applications. They already have consolidated most of the gaming systems to public cloud environments, but the cloud team is still responsible for all the applications both on premise and in cloud infrastructure which comes to further development of integrations, automations, and security responsibilities.

Work at the team is very multidimensional since the team works with 20 different application teams. The tasks vary from supporting the application teams as well as creating new solutions to them, but there will also be major projects for example cloud migration of data platforms.

Successful candidate will have

• awareness of modern application development process/environment

• experience in public cloud platforms e.g. GCP or AWS

• knowhow of infrastructure as a code development with Terraform or Python/Node

• knowledge of container technology (e.g. Docker)

• Finnish language skills

Beneficial experience

• GitLab or similar tools know-how

• knowledge of Kubernetes

• infrastructure, security, monitoring/logging know-how

• application or script/tools development practical experience

Our office is located in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki, Finland and we have a hybrid model of working. Selected person needs to have permanent residence in Finland.
