We’re looking for a Product Owner to drive the growth of HiSkill, our innovative, market-leading VR training simulator for crane operators.

As the Product Owner, you will play a key role in shaping the future development of this innovative tool. As a member of the Hiab Services team, you help us in strengthening our digital capabilities, driving Hiab toward becoming the undisputed leader in digital solutions for our industry and the top customer-focused partner in on-road load handling.

In this role

You will be part of a pioneering effort in commercializing HiSkill and helping us conquer new markets. You will ensure that digital solutions for Hiab operator training are developed to maximize customer and business value. In this role you will be responsible for acting as a link between product management, sales and market teams and the development teams: gathering feedback, making prioritisations based on offering roadmap, and ensuring that the voice of the customer is heard and acted on throughout solution design and delivery.

You will collaborate closely with product management and business development, and colleagues at Hiab Customer Support Centers to drive market adoption and ensure the development team stays on the right track.

Your core tasks include following

• Own and develop Hiab's digital training solutions, working closely with our skilled development team

• Lead projects/feature development through the entire agile lifecycle, from service design to implementation

• Drive continuous improvement, ensuring they align with customer needs and industry trends.

• Translate business needs into actionable development work by managing product backlogs, defining user stories, and working with UX teams on usability and design.

• Conduct user training, create demos, and develop product documentation, including user manuals and training materials.

• Shape the pedagogical approach, set training targets, and measure effectiveness to maximize customer impact.

• Ensure smooth execution by aligning development capacity, managing resources, and solving any blockers to keep projects on track.

• Keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the development process.

What you’ll need to succeed

• B.Sc. or M.Sc (Eng.) in Computer Science, Information Management or equivalent

• At least 5 years of experience in product owner role in agile software development setup, preferably from SaaS and training related solutions

• Experienced professional in digital product design / product ownership

• Proficiency with agile and lean software development methods

• Experience of working in matrix organisation

• Excellent management skills such as leadership, negotiation, scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, risk management, cost management and task management skills

• Able to discuss technical details with the development team, translating these to business language

• Fluent in English both verbally and written
