Cloud Security Specialist

Secure gaming is at the core of Veikkaus’ business, and its importance continues to grow as we expand into international markets. We are now looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Cloud Security professional to join our Gaming Product Security team within the Cyber Security unit. You'll play a key part in strengthening the security and resilience of our multi-cloud environment (GCP and AWS), while acting as a trusted technical expert on cloud services.

You’ll work in our four-person Gaming Product Security team, collaborating closely with cyber security professionals to design, implement, and maintain effective security practices across our cloud platforms. You’ll join a team that combines technical ambition with a positive and high-performing culture. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have the opportunity to drive meaningful, organization-wide initiatives and make a visible impact on how cloud security is built and developed at Veikkaus!

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain security reference architectures, landing zones, and baseline controls.

• Train, support and guide other development teams in cloud security practices.

• Utilize and develop cloud-native security tooling (e.g., Google Cloud Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub, AWS GuardDuty).

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.

• Integrate and manage third-party security tools (SIEM, SOAR, CSPM, DevSecOps solutions).

• Perform risk assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability management for cloud workloads.

• Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks.

You will thrive in this position, if you have

• Extensive hands-on experience with GCP and/or AWS.

• Experience with cloud-native security tools and third-party security solutions.

• Strong understanding of network security, identity management, encryption and workload security

• Solid understanding of cloud architecture principles.

• Fluency in English

Beneficial skills

• Experience with Kubernetes and container security.

• Programming skills for automation and security tooling.

• Background in SOC operations, threat hunting, or penetration testing.

• Knowledge of secure development practices.

• Familiarity with Azure or other major cloud providers.

• Experience in CSPM tools

• Finnish skills

The position is located at Veikkaus’ headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work flexibly in a hybrid model. To foster collaboration and effective teamwork, we meet at the office three times a week.
