Our customer Posti is now looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join their Order Management and Orchestration -domain to work with amazing colleagues in cross-cultural surroundings and top-notch technologies. The community includes over 200 technical colleagues, which are divided into smaller subteams based on their skills, interests and domain-knowledge. The task is to promote Posti’s digital innovations and to ensure that appropriate technological expertise and tailored solutions are always available for the needs of both internal and external customers. The ideal Software Engineering Manager has a strong background in developing high-quality Back End -services with Python & AWS, with Java being a significant plus. In this position, you will play a key role in operational applications of Posti. Part of your application and team responsibilities will involve orchestrating events, parcels, route planning, tracking, and order management services. You will be working closely with product owners and domain owners, extending beyond a single team or service.
We are looking for someone who is also open to taking on managerial responsibilities - the timeline for this can be figured together with Goran, once you have settled into Posti! You will have a lot of possibilities to make this role to match your skills and capabilities.
You:
- + 8-years of relevant software development -experience
- You have proven hands-on expertise with AWS, Python & Java
- You are capable of running complex event-driven architectural development projects
- You have experience of designing highly scalable and resilient services
- You have experience from multi-cultural surroundings and teams
- You have software development life cycle experience, from requirements gathering to development, building, testing, deploying, security, and maintenance
Nice-to-have:
- You have previous managerial/leadership experience
- You have domain knowledge of logistics and fulfillment, or warehousing industry

Posti’s main office is still located in Ilmala, Helsinki, but will be transferred to central Helsinki still during 2025 (Postitalo).
