The role:

We are seeking a hands-on and ambitious Head of Technology to drive the development of a unified service management and monitoring platform, ensuring seamless integration across different devices and services through a modern and innovative way of working. This is a pivotal role in evolving the business model, expanding the service offerings, and delivering lasting customer value.

As the Head of Technology, you will lead from the front, actively engaging in technical decision-making, architecture, and execution while guiding teams across software, web services, and mobile applications. You will oversee technical infrastructure, software engineering, and support functions, ensuring alignment between technology, product innovation, and customer needs.

- Drive the development of the next-generation service platform
- Lead and manage the software development team, guiding across cloud and mobile services
- Work with the Product Director and other relevant stakeholders to design and implement new services
- Oversee technical infrastructure
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS
- Collaborate with the sales team for pre-sales support and technical expertise

- Architectural understanding of Back End -development, AWS services and tools, as well as databases such as SQL/MySQL
- Understanding of JavaScript, React.js & Node.js
- Previous experience with SaaS & scalable product development
- You have a collaborative leadership style with excellent interpersonal and communication skills towards internal and external audiences
- You are able to effectively engage and align cross-functional teams towards shared objectives to drive results
- You have a proven track record in driving and implementing transformation projects
- You have proven experience in customer pre-sales support
- Previous experience in project management and roadmap development
- Previous experience with hardware products is seen as an asset
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Our ideal candidate would be located in metropolitan Helsinki, as the office is located in Otaniemi. Being able to share time at the office is crucial, even if you are able to work in a hybrid environment. The work includes occasional travel to Salo, where the factory site is located. The final title of the role can be aligned with the chosen candidate’s personal experience and preferences (e.g. Head of Services / Head of Technology / Head of Engineering).
