We are now seeking a versatile Cloud Architect to join our team. For us, this recruitment is not just another hire – we are genuinely looking for someone to fill a key position crucial for our growth. This role combines both strategic and hands-on operational work and we are looking for someone who can drive technical development forward, but above all, someone who can brainstorm and help envision what Helvar’s next-generation cloud environment should look like!
Responsibilities:
As a cloud architect you are responsible for designing, deploying and managing Helvar’s cloud infrastructure that also supports IoT ecosystems, ensuring seamless connectivity, security and data management. You will work closely with cloud developers, architects and product managers to ensure that our cloud solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with our business objectives.
Develop and execute cloud strategies.
Design and implement an IoT cloud backend/platform solution that integrates with Helvar's on-premise Lighting Control Solution based on user-, business - and technical requirements.
Feature development, including programming, together with the team.
Establish and enforce the best practices for cloud development, security, compliance and cost management.
Optimize performance, scalability and operation efficiency of cloud solutions
Provide technical leadership and support to internal teams.
Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies, tools and best practices to continuously improve our cloud infrastructure.
Your profile would look like:
5+ years of experience as a cloud architect or similar role in cloud development
Strong expertise in cloud platforms, especially in AWS. Expertise in Azure and Google Cloud is considered a plus.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security and storage.
Expertise in edge computing and IoT security frameworks.
Understanding of IoT device management, data processing and real-time analytics in the cloud.
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
Familiar with cloud native technologies i.e. serverless, microservices Hands-on experience with cloud development, security, compliance and governance.
Hands-on expertise with IoT platforms and protocols such as MQTT
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud systems.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solution Architect, DevOps and Development are highly desirable.
IoT related certifications such as AWS IoT core certification is a plus.
