We at Talented are excited to find a new Tech Lead for Framery, a pioneer in workspace innovation. At Framery, you’ll be part of a team crafting cutting-edge digital solutions that redefine how workspaces are utilized worldwide. In this role, you’ll build and evolve technology that runs on tens of thousands of devices worldwide, helping make workspaces smarter, more efficient, and more intuitive.

For a Tech Lead, this means the autonomy to make architectural decisions and shape our engineering practices as part of a supportive and ambitious team. In practice, this role translates into hands-on technical leadership across our cloud and backend landscape. You guide and oversee the development of AWS cloud infrastructure and IoT backend systems, spanning from platform foundations to application-level functionality and all the way to edge devices. 

They are looking for an enthusiastic, development-oriented technical leader who actively drives change, takes ownership of technical execution, and helps move the organization forward. You should not be afraid of things being a bit messy at times — instead, you are able to bring structure, clarity, and direction when needed. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with other Tech Leads, Developers, and a wide range of stakeholders.

The role involves significant technical leadership without direct reports, while still allowing you to contribute hands-on to the codebase.

Your Ideal Background:

• You are an experienced developer. Experience with Go and Python is a plus, but even more important is your ability and willingness to learn new languages and technologies quickly

• Strong expertise in working with AWS cloud

• Deep understanding how Internet applications and connected devices work

• Extensive knowledge of software architectures and design principles

• Past experience from working with legacy codebase, improving developer experience and development velocity

• Past experience from working with systems tightly integrated with 3rd party SaaS systems

• Past experience from AWS IoT Core, AWS Fargate, AWS VPC, RabbitMQ, OpenVPN, AWS Certificate Manager (or certificates in general), and improving database scalability are considered pluses

• Ability to guide others to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code

• Ability to explain technical concepts, architectures and solutions so that non-technical people understand it

• Proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and Finnish is a plus
