The role:

We are seeking a hands-on and ambitious Senior Cloud Engineer to drive the development of a unified service management and monitoring platform, ensuring seamless integration across different devices and services through a modern and innovative way of working. Today, the Twig and Nav-branded personal alarms run on separate services, but we believe a single harmonised service will serve our customers and our business goals better. This is a versatile role with added Team Lead -responsibilities, where you can deepen your leadership skills in addition to your pure technical expertise. During H2/2025, you will be able to hire a few more team members in addition to one existing subordinate.

As the Senior Cloud Engineer / Team Lead, you will be actively engaging in Cloud-related development, architecture and execution while guiding and strategically leading your team. 

- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS
- Drive the development of the next-generation service platform
- Lead and manage the Cloud -development team
- Collaborate with the sales team for pre-sales support and technical expertise 
- Work with the Product Director and other relevant developers/stakeholders to design and implement new services

You:

Success in this role requires a passion for building scalable, service-driven platforms, and the ability to plan, create and execute crucial technical solutions, with a modern technical stack. 

- You have minimum 5 -years of experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, as well as with databases (/SQL)
- You have a solid understanding of modern web technologies, such as JavaScript, React.js, Node.js
- Previous experience with SaaS & scalable product development is seen as an asset
- Previous experience with hardware products is seen as an asset
- You have preferably led a small team of developers - this is not a must but you need to have an interest towards such role
- You have a proven track record in driving and implementing transformation projects
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Our ideal candidate would be located in metropolitan Helsinki, as the office is located in Espoo, Otaniemi. Being able to share time at the office is crucial, even if you are able to work in a hybrid environment. The work includes occasional travel to Salo, where the factory site is located. The final title of the role can be aligned with the chosen candidate’s personal experience and preferences (e.g. Team Lead / Tech Lead / Senior Service Engineer).
